Great food and very welcoming if you just want to order a coffee and enjoy the ambiance. Accommodation is also available. Definitely recommend.
My friend and I had a very nice lunchtime meal yesterday. The staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was first class, well presented and very tasty. Highly recommended.
Very friendly place to eat good locally sourced food, excellent beer in well laid out bar area with a stunning rear garden planted out as if you're abroad, if not raining!!! Always a good atmosphere with friendly locals to chat to. Big log burner in the bar is a focal point on cold Winters days. They also have very good accommodation for those wanting a base while touring the area.
Everything is just right. Not over-fussy or obsequious, a genial welcome to clean, well presented rooms with nicely laid out en-suites, comfortable beds and relaxing, gentle, tranquility to give a very pleasant stay.The pub boasts 3 well kept handpull ales and an extensive wine list. The menu is local, seasonal and cooked to perfection and chef will do anything he can to accommodate even unusual dietary needs. All this at a sensible price has convinced us to visit again very soon.
Excellent food and very good staff. Mackerel for starters and really well presented. Tagliatelle was tasty and a good portion. My wife had fish and chips, but really, crushed peas instead of mushy peas, deduct 1 point for that. The place was very clean and obviously well managed. Will definitely call again if in the area.
